SWARCO Switzerland has been awarded a Silver rating by EcoVadis, marking an important milestone in our sustainability journey. This recognition highlights our commitment to responsible business practices and continuous improvement across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is a globally recognized sustainability rating platform that evaluates companies across four key pillars:
- Environment
- Labor & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
The rating reflects a comprehensive evaluation of our business operations, including policies, management systems, and overall performance. While certain activities may have been in focus during the assessment, the result represents our organization-wide approach to sustainability, rather than a single product, service, or portfolio segment.
Our commitment to responsible business practices
For our customers and partners, the EcoVadis rating provides credible, independent validation of our ESG performance. More importantly, it underscores our own commitment to responsible business practices. In the infrastructure and mobility sector, such transparency is increasingly valued in building trusted, long-term partnerships.
Sustainability is a shared priority across all SWARCO companies. Within our ITS entities, we are actively working to align and expand EcoVadis participation, using the framework to drive transparency, consistency, and continuous improvement. Several SWARCO companies already maintain established sustainability certifications, including ISO 14001 for environmental management. Broadening the use of EcoVadis complements these efforts and strengthens a unified approach to sustainability across the company.
Achieving Silver is an important milestone, but it is just the beginning. Our focus remains on continuously improving our processes and strengthening our business operations, embedding sustainability into everything we do. By doing so, we aim to create lasting value—for our customers, our partners, and the communities we serve—while further advancing our sustainability performance in the years ahead.
