SWARCO Norge delivers intelligent traffic and mobility solutions that improve road safety, traffic flow and sustainability across urban and interurban environments.

Our dedicated and highly experienced team provides solutions including urban traffic management systems, signal control, traffic detection and prioritisation of different road users, as well as interurban technologies such as Variable Message Signs (VMS), adaptive speed control, queue management and road weather monitoring. We also deliver access control solutions such as automatic bollards and barriers for traffic regulation and protection of sensitive areas.

Our competent service organisation provides contract-based operation and maintenance services, including long-term agreements with authorities such as Oslo Municipality. Customer satisfaction is consistently rated highly, and in 2025 we received the highest possible score for competence in our annual customer survey.

SWARCO Norge is headquartered in Oslo (Bryn) with additional offices in Porsgrunn and Trondheim. We have been certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for quality and environmental management since 2003.969.

For the past decade SWARCO has provided solutions that help traffic flow, traffic safety and the environment. We help our customers and partners to design, assemble solutions and operate and maintain the equipment.

Quality and environmental focus has always been emphasized both internally and in the solutions provided by SWARCO. The company was one of the pioneers in advanced traffic control systems and in the use of LED technology. At present all traffic signal is based on this energy-saving technology.
 

For an external verification of the quality and environmental focus, the company signed a while ago an agreement with the Norwegian Veritas certification. SWARCO Nordic companies are now certified in both quality (ISO9001 : 2015) and the environment (ISO14001 : 2004).

The certification is a confirmation that our customers can be confident that SWARCO will continue to provide leading and pro-environmental solutions.
