In a nutshell
OVERVIEW
Public Works Authority (ASHGHAL) is building a Roads Management Centre to maintain, monitor, and manage Qatar’s road assets. SWARCO & KBAS are delivering the RMC Software Solution: an ITS platform that supports and integrates all current and future ITS systems across the country. The scope includes design, development, supply, installation, and maintenance of an integrated ITS software platform with modules to monitor and control equipment and integrate multiple systems (e.g., CCTV, VMS, RWIS, WiM, overheight detection, SCATS traffic control, tunnel SCADA, automated incident detection, and traffic modelling/forecasting). Project duration: 02/2019–03/2025. Technology: OMNIA ITS integration platform (now: SWARCO MyCity) with tunnel management, macro/micro modelling, traveler information, and automated incident response.
