SWARCO and INEO INFRACOM selected to equip 2,000 connected vehicles to improve road safety

In the German city of Landau in der Pfalz, prediction of congestion, emissions and testing infrastructure changes are no longer a vision for the future — it is reality. A couple of months ago, SWARCO has deployed a fully operational Digital Twin that continuously mirrors the city's traffic network, providing real-time insights, short-term forecasts, and scenario-based decision support. Unlike many Digital Twin initiatives that remain at the concept or pilot stage, Landau in der Pfalz's solution is live, integrated into daily operations, and actively supporting traffic management decisions.

SWARCO has successfully defended the validity of European Patent EP 2 643 717 before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) in Paris. In its decision of 25 June 2026, the Court rejected a nullity action and confirmed the patent in its full scope.
